La Grange de L’Abille

After several years of renovation, we are proud to unveil La Grange de l’Abille, transformed while keeping its soul of yesteryear. Nestled in the heart of the Cantal, this guest house now combines the charm of stone and wood with modern, eco-responsible comfort.

Every detail has been thought through to offer our visitors a unique experience, where respect for the environment and elegance meet harmoniously. Noble materials, natural insulation, uncluttered decoration and light streaming through… Welcome to a haven of peace where it is good to stay.

The philosophy of La Grange de L’Abille

La Grange de l’Abille embodies a philosophy deeply rooted in respect for nature, for the rhythm of the seasons and for natural cycles.

Respect for nature and authenticity

What the house stands for

Transformed into a guest house with a table d’hôtes, this renovated former barn offers its visitors much more than a simple place to stay: it offers them total immersion in a preserved natural environment, where a simple and true life reigns.

01

Eco-responsibility

Every aspect of the renovation was carefully thought through to minimise the impact on the environment. Natural building materials were favoured, creating harmony with the surrounding landscape. In addition, the guest house makes a point of using local and organic products in its kitchen, offering its guests healthy and tasty food.

02

Sharing and conviviality

Driven by a genuine passion for this part of the Cantal, we welcome our guests with sincere warmth and a desire to help them discover the hidden treasures of the region. We can advise and guide you towards choices and routes for outdoor activities such as hiking or cycling.

03

Recharging and relaxation

Nestled in the heart of unspoilt nature, far from the hustle and bustle of daily life, the house invites its guests to find harmony with themselves. Introductory workshops on certain aspects of yoga, such as postures (“asana” in Sanskrit), and mindfulness meditation workshops led by myself are also offered.

04

A committed guest house

La Grange de l’Abille encourages its guests to adopt a responsible and ecological way of life: saving water and energy, sorting waste. The house also strives to reduce its carbon footprint by using renewable energy such as solar power and by encouraging gentle modes of transport such as walking, cycling or public transport.

Local know-how

Promoting local know-how

La Grange de l’Abille is committed to preserving and promoting local know-how by working with local craftspeople and producers.

The owners of the guest house work with local farmers and breeders to offer fresh, healthy, seasonal products at their table d’hôtes. They also work with craftspeople from the region to offer their guests authentic souvenirs of their stay.
