I am Katinka, and I will be your host at La Grange De L’Abille.

I wanted to settle down, in every sense of the word.
After 20 years spent on aeroplanes, travelling the world and looking after passengers’ comfort (among other things), I wanted to settle down in every sense of the word and keep welcoming guests in a far more personal way, in perfect harmony with my values and my way of life: in connection with the local ecosystem, with nature, its cycles and its seasons, and with the absolute need to build mutual kindness between us.

In the middle of a still unspoilt and breathtaking natural setting in the Volcans d’Auvergne Regional Natural Park, it will be good to reconnect with yourself through what I have to offer:
- my availability,
- my attentive ear,
- my knowledge of the area,
- my cooking,
and, for those who feel the need, my guidance through mindfulness meditation and personal development workshops.

Nestled in the heart of a still intact natural environment, our guest house is a perfect sanctuary for this reconnection with yourself, which has become essential in today’s society.
My commitment to your well-being takes the form of:
- the place itself: a barn completely renovated with respect for the original building, using organic and bio-sourced materials and products
- an ultra-intimate setting, deliberately limited in the number of rooms, for those who are searching and need some interaction, but not too much
- my unfailing availability, my attentive listening and my knowledge of the area.
Here, every exchange is marked by kindness and mutual respect.
Cooking at the heart of the experience
Besides offering you a refuge in nature, I particularly enjoy serving cooking that is both creative and traditional: little dishes that always carry, at one moment or another, a touch of comfort food with the flavours of childhood.
My cooking is steeped in local flavours and seasonal produce, carefully selected for their quality and origin. Every meal is a celebration of the land and its bounty, prepared with love and dedication for your enjoyment.
